IAESTE offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience abroad.. In an increasingly competitive job market, much has been said about the need to gain relevant work experience before graduation- IAESTE not only provides traineeship experience but also the valuable experience of working abroad. Work experience gained abroad not only enhances your independence, flexibility, communication and foreign language skills but also contributes to your personal and academic development. Employers know that if students have successfully overcome the challenges brought on by international work experience, they will stand out from the crowd at interviews. The majority of traineeships take place in the summer months although longer periods are also available.

All IAESTE traineeships are paid, course related and give you the chance to fully immerse yourself in a new country and culture. IAESTE trainees are part of a world-wide network and are supported through the entire application process. From work permits and visas, to accommodation and a social program, IAESTE makes it easier for you to get on with developing your skills and enjoying new cultures.
EDUCATION
You must be currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the time of application and be studying one of the applicable disciplines.
LANGUAGE
While most positions require English, other language skills are sometimes preferred.
DURATION
Most placements are for 6-12 weeks during the summer, but longer term placements are also available throughout the year (24 - 52 weeks).

PRE-SUBSCRIPTION
Pre-subscribe on our website by filling the online subscription form. Please note that the pre-registration online is required only if applying for the first time.

SUBSCRIPTION
Documents are required to confirm the subscription. See under for details

PARTICIPATING
Participate in the collect of offers by looking for internships at Tunisian companies for a foreign trainee that meet criteria (see under this cycle).

ENGLISH TEST
Take an English test (the TOEIC) provided by IAESTE Tunisia. According to your final score, you will be able to choose the internship that matches your profile.

NOMINATION
Apply for an exchanged position. One applicant is sent at a time for consideration by the employer. On receipt of the nomination package, the employer then has the opportunity to conduct a telephone or Skype interview with the candidate, in order to help them make a decision if they wish to accept.

ACCEPTANCE
Once you are accepted by the Employer, IAESTE representatives in both countries work together to prepare the student and to ensure that you have all the necessary permits and/or visas needed to undertake the traineeship.

TRAINEESHIP
Traineeship durations differ from country to country but most take place during the summer months and vary in length according to employer requirements. IAESTE will normally facilitate accommodation, social and cultural activities for the trainees during these months. Evaluations are carried out at the end of the placements to monitor quality and improve processes.

2. PARTICIPATING
Participate in the collect of offers by looking for internships at Tunisian companies for a foreign trainee that meet the following criteria :
Supervision in English..
Minimal wage of 400 TND per month.
Duration of the internship between 6 weeks and 3 months.
Start of the internship must be in June, July or August.
Be advised
1/ You should do your subscription between October and the beginning of December.
2/ For subscription renewal, just bring your membership card and the necessary documents to our office.
3/ First year Engineering students and second year Architecture students will not benefit from the exchange program for the current year, but the subscription will add 50 points to their score for the next year.
